Baby Tears in a bottle drys as clear and wet looking as water. We all remember the watery eyes and wet little noses that come with little baby's. We also remember those little baby tears.
Now you can recreate those memories with Baby Tears in a bottle from Aleen's Paper Glaze. It goes on thick enough that it won't run all over the place when you use it. You can even brush it on in multiple layers to make the wet look deeper and deeper. This product will really add to your artist tool box when it comes to making realistic newborn babies.

Whenever you use paint you want to also use cosmetic foam wedges. Women have been using these for years to apply cosmetics to their own faces now you can use this very same tool to apply your heat-set paints to the faces of your babies. With these special sponges you will be able to control the blushing on the cheeks, the tone of the eyebrows, the overall skin pigmentation, and even more. These sponges are indispensable when reborning or newborning a beautiful doll. See how to use them to make your baby's skin come alive with warmth and beauty on our video, "The Art of Reborning."

Whenever you use paints and sponges you will also need the reborn artists' secret clean-up weapon: craft-grade cotton tipped applicators. These applicators allow you to clean up when paint gets into delicate hard-to-reach areas. These inexpensive little tools have a cotton point on one end and a round ball on the other. The ball works well for clean up on larger areas while the point allows you to get into crevices and other tight places. Use them once and throw them away. They are easy and very effective to use.

Craft sticks are an essential tool for many steps in the reborning process. Stephanie Sullivan uses them for applying Genesis paints to the paint pallet. They are so inexpensive that you can use them once and just throw them away. They are great for reaching inside the head to apply glue if you are gluing in your eyes.
Each bag comes with 150 craft sticks.

E-6000 is used by Stephanie to glue eyes into reborned dolls. She also uses E-6000 to glue dark felt behind the nose and mouth on dolls that will breath or have an open mouth. E-6000 is one of the recommended glues used by professional reborners. It's clear, waterproof, stays flexible and holds well. It's hard to find in many local stores so we are glad to be able to offer this to you. We offer the large economy size 3.7oz.

A weighted newborn baby doll adds so much to the feel of realism! Your baby should be stuffed enough to keep their shape but not so much that they feel as hard as a dried out loaf of bread (suggested weight is no more then 4 pounds).
You want the body shape to shift a little as you cuddle the baby. The best way to achieve this effect is to use semi-round-shaped clean, quality made plastic beads. Our beads are made of a very stable material that will not discolor, give off oily substances, shrink or have sharp little points. These beads will gently roll around and shift within the baby's bottom (cloth body) so her little body will nestle within your arms.

This 5" handy multi-purpose tool is great for cutting and tightening the ty-wraps on the doll.
These pliers are ideal for reaching into vinyl parts where our fingers are too large to go. The long tapered tip of these pliers allows you to accomplish such tasks as setting eyes from inside the head or placing felt behind the opened nostrils or even the mouth. You can also reach in to remove vinyl trimmed pieces that may have fallen into the head or limbs and extract them successfully.

Full-round eyes are not only for open-eyed babies. Be sure to use full-round eyes in your sculpting form to make more life-like sleeping babies. The full-round eyes behind the eyelids perfectly re-create the round and puffy effect of a real babies eyelids in the closed position.
Full-round eyes are those that have an attached backside shaped like a funnel. This style eye is perfectly suited to our sculpting foundation. It snaps right into the eye sockets of the sculpting foundation and allows the eyes to be positioned as desired. REAL EYES Brand Doll eyes® are the most life-like eyes available today and fit our form the very best.
They are oven safe at temperatures compatible with most polymer clays baking specifications and will never change colors!

Polymer clays need to be baked in your oven in order to make them hard enough to last a life time. But if you over bake or under bake them all your hard work could turn to disaster. Don't trust the setting on your oven dial. Use an oven thermometer to be sure that you are getting the proper baking temperature. This thermometer is well suited to polymer clays as there is a mark on the dial at exactly where 275 degrees Fahrenheit is achieved. There is no guessing or risk taken when using an oven thermometer.

As seen in our sculpting video this, in our opinion, is the best set of sculpting tools for baby sculptors in the doll world today. They allow a level of control not available with most other kinds of tools. They allow you to reach into the tiniest areas to add incredible detail. They are like having tiny little fingers that can shape, smooth, and create little fat creases and fat rolls that are impossible to make with your big fingers. Learn how to effectively use these wonderful tools by watching Vickie Reid in our video "The Art of Sculpting."
